Apple is finally confirmed that the iPhone X will be made and manufactured in India. A Taiwanese company Foxconn is all set to the manufacturing of iPhone x in India from July.
Apple is partnered with Foxconn to manufacture the iPhone X in India. This will be a great initiative by Apple for India for its Make In India program. The production will be starting from this July in Foxconn’s 160-acre facility in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Before starting the manufacturing, Apple initially carried out the successful trials of some iPhones of the X series in its Chennai plant, which includes iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR.
India is the fastest growing economy in the world. But if we look at the past and the present of Apple in India, it has not got much success in India. So, Finally decided to move some steps to increase its sells by manufacturing the iPhones X.
In 2018, the import of Apple’s iPhones shrunk to half its number as compared to that of 2017.
Setting up the production of iPhone X in India will definitely save the smartphone giant the added cost of importing and other paraphernalia that comes with it.
So, definitely, the price of iPhones made in India will be available at a lesser or cheaper cost because of the cut down of the cost of the importing and shipping.
It will also depend on some other factors like favorable incentive taken by the government toward it.
