How To Enable Google Dark Mode On Google Chrome Android

Before you start the follow the steps please be sure that your android chrome is running version 74 or higher. Check your “About Chrome” and then “Application Version” by going to the setting of chrome android or can also check on Google Play.

Now, Just like Windows 10, Google starts rolling out the dark mode feature on its Android version of Google Chrome. So, let’s start “how to enable Google dark mode on google chrome android?”

There are two methods you can enable the Dark Mode. The first is Using settings and the second is using flag. Let’s start with the first.

1.) Enable dark mode on Chrome by settings

  2. Tap the three dot on the upper right corner of the browser.
  3. Now, click Settings option.
  4. Tap the Dark mode option (If you don’t see the option then enable it by Flags method first.). In the beta version of Google Chrome Android, it comes under the Themes Option
  5. Turn on the toggle switch.
  6. Now, Close the Browser and Re-start the browser.
  7. If the option isn’t available, you may need to use the flags settings page to enable the theme.

2.) Enable dark mode on Google Chrome Android using flags

If you are unable to enable Dark Mode in Google Chrome Android, Then try Flags method. It is a super easy and convenient method. Follow the steps.

  1. Open Chrome on Android
  2. In the search bar type the following address as given  chrome://flags/#enable-android-night-mode 
  3. You will see  Android Chrome UI dark mode 
  4. From the drop down menu select  “Enabled” 
  5. Relaunch the Browser
  6. Tap the three dot [wp-svg-icons icon=”list-2″ wrap=”i”] on the upper right corner of the browser.
  7. Now, click Settings option.
  8. Tap the Dark mode option and Toggle On.
