Today, Huawei has unveiled a brand new OS called HarmonyOS at the developer conference in Dongguan. In addition to unveiling its own operating system, Huawei Also announced EMUI 10 Software Update for new Huawei’s Android devices. This update will also be available for many older devices of the Huawei as well. This is the tenth iteration of its EMUI custom OS based on Google’s Android. This new EMUI update will be based on Android Q that include many features like Dark Mode, New Icons, more efficient Turbo GPU and many other features. There’s also a new photo gallery plus a Digital Wellbeing app.
Improved Performance
Huawei said that the performance of its OS has much improved. The power consumption is reduced by as 6%. The GPU Turbo 3.0 is also 60% more efficient with new EMUI 10. The GPU Turbo is a feature that improves the gaming experience by boosting the power of the GPU of the smartphone. The wireless connectivity is also improved by 70%. You’ll be able to wirelessly connect the two and mirror your phone directly on the computer screen. This will help you to access all your phone’s files as well as seamlessly respond to messages or transfer files.

As far as the concern for the Huawei-design user interface EMUI 10 works on top of Android Q. The new update includes a dark mode, better lighting level, and black color, good readability, better integration of artificial intelligence, and many more. The dark mode also automatically adjusts to third-party apps compatible with the native Android 10 Q dark mode. The new EMUI will feature with more rounded icons and new animations. The option for the clock and calendar styles are also increased and also “always-on display” option included.
Easier To Cast Your Phone On PC
Huawei’s new EMUI 10 beta update is designed to work across multiple devices easier. You can cast your phone interface into your Windows 10 PC very easily. This includes Huawei’s “HiCar” feature that will let you pair your phone to work on your car’s infotainment system and control music, navigation and even function like AC in supported vehicles.
It is expected that Mate 30 and P30 will be the first two devices to get it is this EMUI update. These devices may get the new firmware update starting September 8. Also expected that the upcoming Mate 30 Lite smartphone could run Huawei’s new operating system HarmonyOS.
Despite the restrictions of the USA government on the Company, the firm is still able to offer regular Android updates. According to the reports, there is a list of 17 smartphones including Huawei and Honor phone also that could get the EMUI 10 update. Here is the list of those smartphones.
