Earlier today, Oppo has announced that it has signed a licence agreement with eight other companies to use VOOC Charging Technology in their devices. The licence agreement with these companies includes developing, manufacturing, and selling devices with support VOOC Flash Charging Technology.
The companies which have been licensed to use VOOC Flash Charging Technology includes Anke Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., Angbao Electronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Shilan Microelectronics Co., Ltd., Lilinda Technology Group Co., Ltd., Ningbo Bull Digital Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Renqing Excellence Investment Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Shishang Exhibition Technology Co., Ltd. and Core Sea Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.
Last year, in November 2018 Oppo had signed a similar agreement with six other companies also. And It also said that more than 100 devices around the world were using its charging technology.
Commenting on the licensing agreement, Feng Ying, Director of IP at Oppo, said: – “VOOC flash charging technology fully demonstrates OPPO’s technological leadership in the field of fast charging, greatly enhancing the user’s charging experience. We are very pleased to be able to promote the sustainable development of VOOC’s flash-filled ecology through our external licensing. Today, OPPO VOOC flash has 14 excellent industry chain partners. In the future, we will also open the license to more enterprises, VOOC flash-charge technology plus accessories, chips and other areas of development.”

About VOOC Flash Charging Technology
The Oppo’s VOOC Flash Charging Technology is a proprietary Rapid charge Technology created by Oppo electronics. With the help of this technology, it is able to charge batteries of some Oppo devices from 0 to 75% in just 30 minutes.
Oppo also licences its Technology to OnePlus which is also subsidiary of its Parent company BBK electronics. OnePlus uses it as the Dash Charge Technology.
As of now, a total of three variant of VOOC is available.
- VOOC 2.0, that is 20W charging technology operates at 5V and 4A.
- VOOC 3.0 (2019), which is 25W technology operates at 5V/5A. It is 23.8% faster than VOOC.
- SuperVOOC (2018), which is 50W charging technology operates at 10V/5A.
